DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

The Department of Physiotherapy of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) Ado-Ekiti provides Physiotherapy Services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Physiotherapy treatment aim is to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being.

The Department comprises of a team of highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapists who focus on individualised care that includes a comprehensive assessment with clinical reasoning and a full complement of exercises, modalities and manual therapies in order to manage pain and maximise function and independence.

The physiotherapy Department is also home to the prosthetics and orthotics unit in the hospital. This unit designs, fabricates and fits latest and light weight prosthetic and orthotic appliances which include;

Lower and Upper limb prosthesis (artificial limbs)

Spinal Orthosis

Lower and Upper extremity orthosis amongst others.

At our department, we encourage interdisciplinary collaboration with other members of the health professionals in the hospital.
